Los Angeles gets its own Beer Paper

In the past few years, the LA craft brewing scene has exploded and LA and North Orange County have become home to many creative and important breweries. The beer culture in LA is changing so rapidly and spread out over such diverse communities that keeping up with its comings and goings has been a difficult task for anyone who wants to drink local.   However, the recently launched Beer Paper LA has come to the rescue of LA's craft beer drinking public. The site has become one of my go to sources for all things beer in LA. It features well written articles, interviews with brewers and news features about LA's ever expanding brewing world. The most recent story on California's growler laws is definitely worth a read. It's fantastic to see good writing about great beer.

Binder full of beer

Yes I'm that guy, the one who sits at the bar, notebook in hand, waxing somewhat poetically about the beer he's drinking. In fact, this blog was inspired by my little black book. Overall last year was a fantastic year for craft beer and I had the pleasure of tasting at several breweries and festivals including the Firestone Walker Invitational and the Orange County Brew Ha Ha.  Below is a list of beers from my notebook that I tasted, drank and enjoyed in 2012. The list is a long one and this year is shaping up to be much the same. Stay tuned for more beer adventures.
